Pretty in Pink

Miss E is turning one and I can’t wait to celebrate with her!  Of course she will be having a perfect pink party so she needed pictures to fit the theme.  I can’t show you all the surprises to come but here is a sneak peek of this precious angel’s

Miss B & Coco

Recently I had the awesome privilege of photographing this adorable little girl for her birthday celebration.  Because of her current interest in riding and showing horses, she will be having an equestrian-themed party.  The horse pictured with her, Coco, is truly a remarkable animal! Special Effects ~ Fast as Lightning!

My style as a photographer is fairly traditional.  I love pictures that look crisp and vibrant, but represent the moment.  However, sometimes playing with special effects is fun, too.  If you only have you portrait made once per year or per five years, this might not be a great idea.

Oh No You Don’t

The hardest pictures to take usually involve groups with children ages 2-4.  Children alone are easy peasy.  Put them in a group with siblings or their family and be ready to hustle!  This family’s two little boys are adorable, and completely different.  The little one was determined to be independent

75th Annual 4H Meat Animal Show and Sale

Sometimes I play the role of a professional portrait photographer… seeking the perfect expression, composition, exposure, background, etc.  Sometimes I play the role of compulsive, snap-happy Mom with a camera.  This week, I was the latter.  My boys showed a Cloverbud goat and a lamb at the 4-H Livestock Show

A Prop Partnership

Most of the time, I don’t use props.  Why?  Because I think YOU should be the focus of your pictures.  However, sometimes a special prop can bring out your personality or add uniqueness to a photograph.  For that reason, I have partnered with a local antique dealer, Carolina Retro!  Through
