Welcome to the Studio

For the past couple of years, I have been using our bonus room as a photography studio.  My youngest son lovingly told people “My mom pretends to be a photographer in my playroom.”  It really did feel that way with all the toys crowding the space, but I couldn’t bring myself to take them out.  However, the toys could not be used because the studio equipment was in the way.  Renting retail space for a studio would be wonderful, but it would also require me to raise my prices to cover the costs….not a good option.  This weekend, we renovated a bit.  The toys are still in the room, but we weeded out those not used and moved them to  a more confined space.  The new configuration will allow the room to be opened up when guests come over to play.  The room functions more like a studio with room to store props (well, some of them), a changing table, and comfortable seating for parents.  It is just right for newborns and babies up to one year and for head shots.  I can’t wait for you to see it in person!  If you are expecting a baby, call to reserve a time on my calendar.  Let me help you remember this special time with amazing portraits!
